Tulips and Candlelight

Was playing with the camera last night. I had bought a bunch of tulips to remind myself that spring will come.... eventually.

Buster in Repose

Seems like not that long ago when Buster was a mere pup. This was taken on his first visit to Olympia. He found the "Princess Chair" to be a great place to nap... I think it would be a little harder for him to fit into it now.

Looking out through mason jar blue...

Old Jars on the Windowsill
Two posts in one day. My oh my!!! My internet connection seems to be running a little hotter!!! I Realized that I hadn't taken a picture for project 365 today so I took the opportunity to run downstairs, across the deck, and into the Old cabin. There are always treasures to photograph. These old jars in the window caught my eye. Especially since the interior of the cabin was dim in the late afternoon.

Happy Weekend

Sam's Coffee Pot
Ahhh... the weekend is here and although it is a little nippy out, blue sky is visible. An excellent sight to see here in the North West. I've been playing around with some Topaz plugins for photoshop. http://www.topazlabs.com what fun. They give you a thirty day free trial to play I'm finding that I'm pretty fond of a couple of them. A simple way to get great effects quickly.

I'm looking for a few photo files that I can Tweak. Maybe you have a great photo but something is amiss. Maybe the color's wrong or maybe you'd like it artsy. Let me play. Send me as large a file as you have to rlperdueimages@gmail.com or send me a link to your photo site and I will see what I can do. Easy Peasy. Thanks.

Have a great weekend and remember...

Back to work...

The weather has made a slight change... No longer are we frosty white and freezing. Now we are slightly warmer and rain is upon us. I can work in the rain. Not so much when it's frozen. My little mini vacation has come to an end.
This cat was watching me work outside in the drizzle while he himself sat inside upon his fancy carpet covered "cat fandango".

Happy New Year

Melody's Watering Can
Happy New year to all my family, friends, and passers by. I'm hoping that this post finds you warm and well. I have been busy trying to find things to shoot in this gloomy, damp and sometimes chilly neck of the woods.  I must admit though, staying inside where it's cozy and warm is usually my first inclination. I'm finding that attempting to upload large file pics from the cottage is a futile effort.  I can surf the internet albeit without You Tube or other fancy bits but until ATT improves their technology I will have to organize myself to do all uploading at my friendly Starbucks or from the office before work. I seem to waste a lot of time trying thinking that this time it might work... and sometimes it does. But usually not. So here's to a new year and a new organized me.
I've been working on a series of cards and prints to market, focusing (note the pun) on rustic bits and pieces, a few floral, and some local interest shots. I appreciate those who have allowed me to snap pictures of their smiley mugs and their treasures.
Grab a cuppa something, stay warm, and above all...
